Effective Electrical Troubleshooting: Digital Storage Oscilloscope Application and Testing

Instructor: Louie Nelson

This hands-on course will present practical application of Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO) techniques. Appropriate testing methods of major automotive systems including fuel, ignition, charging/starting and engine mechanical will be presented. Learn the best way to setup and capture waveforms that provide precise information for problem analysis. Voltage, current, pressure and comparative multichannel tests will be taught as they best apply to specific components and circuits. Learn how to turn your oscilloscope skills from just “running” your scope into analyzing with your DSO.  This is an all day hands-on class. Students should bring their labscopes, accessories and chargers if needed.

A variety of different scan tools and lab scope techniques will be presented. Students should bring their lab scopes, accessories and chargers if possible.
