November 3 - November 3 Hands On Tech Training in Rockford

Hands-On Tech Training with Louie Nelson at Rock Valley College in Rockford

Effective Electrical Troubleshooting: DSO Application & Testing

Course Summary:

This all-day hands-on course will present practical application of Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO) techniques. Appropriate testing methods of major automotive systems including fuel, ignition, charging/starting and engine mechanical will be presented. Each system will be approached with the following questions:

What am I working on/how does it work?

What questions do I need answers to for effective analysis?

What DSO technique can I use to obtain those answers?

               What results should I expect?

Learn the best way to setup and capture waveforms that provide precise information for problem analysis. Voltage, current, pressure and comparative multichannel tests will be taught as they best apply to specific components and circuits. Learn how to turn your oscilloscope skills from just “running” your scope into analyzing with your DSO. Course is sponsored by CarQuest Training Institute and Advance Professional.
