  Since 1951, ASA has been the leading organization for owners and managers of automotive service busineeses that strive to deliver excellence in service and repairs to consumers. Members of the association perform mechanical, auto body and transmission repairs, and can be identified by the red, white and blue ASA sign.

  ASA advances professionalism and excellence in the automotive repair industry through education, representation and member services. ASA's national office is in Bedford, Texas.   Mission Statement

  "To develop and implement communication, services and programs that result in the improvement of the market share, professional image and prosperity of Illinois independent automotive mechanical repair shops."

  Code of Ethics

  The owners and managers of automotive service businesses that belong to the Automotive Service Association (ASA) agree to adhere to a Code of Ethics. ASA's Code of Ethics is the automotive service industry's standard for professional business practices.

  Membership Information

  Members of ASA-Illinois Mechanical Division are automotive service businesses who provide automotive mechanical repairs/services to the motoring public.

  For your convenience, we have provided a downloadable membership application below. If you are interested in membership in the association, please download the form and complete the information.

  Membership in ASA-ILMD is $425; membership in the Rockford-area chapter is $565. This includes membership in ASA-National and gives access to the 35-plus member benefits the association offers.

  Rockford Chapter Meetings

  ROCKFORD:Meetings on the third Wednesday of each month at Lino's Restaurant, 5611 E. State St., Rockford, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Contact Tim Javurek at (815) 399-2886 or via e-mail at tnpjavurek@cs.com.

  The individuals offering these meetings are volunteers. They give their time, facility and efforts to bring you timely topics, education and a chance to "round table." Please give them a call, attend the meetings and offer your input. $10 admission includes dinner (usually pizza) and pop.

The Automotive Service Association of Illinois (ASA-Illinois) is an affiliate of ASA, the largest not-for-profit trade association of its kind serving automotive service professionals. ASA is dedicated to and governed by independent automotive service and repair professionals. ASA's international membership base includes numerous affiliate, state and chapter groups from both the mechanical and collision repair segments of the automotive service industry.

Casey Automotive in Palatine looks a lot different these days. Steve Casey, shop owner, invested in a brand new, environmentally-friendly shop that opened on December 1, 2010. The new building was built at the existing Casey’s Palatine location and expanded to 8,500 square feet.
